Lubber Pandhu
Harish Kalyan’s most-awaited cricket-based film Lubber Pandhu is all set to hit the big screens on September 20, 2024. Ahead of its release, the makers have released a video featuring Kolkata Knight Riders cricketer Varun Chakaravarthy watching a preview show of the film.
After watching the film, the cricketer sat down to review the movie, which stars Harish Kalyan and Attakathi Dinesh in the lead roles. He called the film a memorable watch that captures the essence of street cricket. Varun also recalled playing with a ‘lubber pandhu’ or rubber ball during his childhood and expressed that everyone would love the film. “I just watched the film Lubber Pandhu. It's such an engaging film based on street cricket played in rural towns, which they have beautifully captured. Even I began playing cricket with a rubber ball and tennis ball, so I was able to connect with the film well. It was fantastic, and I wish the team all the success. I am sure that this movie will be highly rated in Tamil cinema.”
For those unfamiliar, Varun Chakaravarthy plays for Tamil Nadu in domestic cricket and for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League.
