'Looks like Naseeruddin Shah': Anupam Kher announces his next Vijay 69 with a quirky poster, netizens react

Anupam Kher has signed his 537th film with Yash Raj Entertainment which is titled Vijay 69. The actor is all set to play the role of a man who decided to compete in a triathlon contest in his 60s. On Thursday, he took to Instagram to make the announcement with a quirky poster which features him riding a bicycle. “It’s good to be 69 years young! Super excited to be starring in @yrfentertainment’s #Vijay69 in the lead: a quirky slice-of-life film for OTT about a man who decides to compete in a triathlon contest at the age of 69. Let’s put the show on the road! Jai Ho! My #537th,” he captioned the post.

Soon after the netizens chimed in the comment section to drop their first reaction. While one of the users wrote, “I thought sir was playing Albert Einstein.” Another user found Anupam to have a resemblance to actor Naseeruddin Shah in the poster. “Looks like Naseeruddin Shah,” commented the user. “Super Awesome! looking forward to watching the movie,” read one of the comments. “Fabulous initiative I am sure many will be motivated Sir” read another comment. Talking about Vijay 69, the film is directed by Akshay Roy and produced by Maneesh Sharma. The film will be an OTT release. Besides this, Anupam has some interesting lineup projects in his kitty. He will next be seen in the upcoming thriller IB71 which stars Vidyut Jammwal in a crucial role. After The Kashmir Files, he is set to reunite with director Vivek Agnihotri for The Vaccine War. He also has Anurag Basu’s next Metro In Dino alongside Sara Ali Khan and Aditya Roy Kapur. He will also be seen in Kangana Ranaut’s political drama, Emergency. Among others, he has The Signature, Nautanki, Kuch Khatta Ho Jay, and Kaagaz 2 in the pipeline.
