'Looked like Sridevi is walking': Janhvi Kapoor shines in a golden saree at Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, netizens react

On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Janhvi Kapoor along with her sister Khushi Kapoor stepped out for Ganapati darshan. The Kapoor sisters arrived at designer Manish Malhotra’s residence in their ethnic avatars looking gorgeous. Khushi wore a baby pink suit with embroidered dupatta, however, it was Janhvi’s ethereal look in a golden saree that made heads turn.

A video has surfaced online wherein Janhvi can be seen walking out of Manish Malhotra’s residence while paparazzi clicked her pictures. She can be seen redefining elegance in a saree which she styled with a pair of earrings and her hair tied back in a bun with gajra wrapped around it. Her grace and overall look reminded netizens of her late mother Sridevi. Reacting to the clip, one of the users wrote, “I swear for a second it looked like Sridevi is walking.” Another commented, “She looks exactly like Sridevi ji.” “Look like a replica of Shri Devi mam,” added another. Earlier in the day, Janhvi took to Instagram and posted several photos of her in the saree while extending Ganesh Chaturthi wishes to fans, “Happy Ganesh Chaturthi” she captioned the post. A few weeks ago, the Dhadak actress made another appearance in ethnic dress when she visited Tirumala Temple with her rumoured boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya. She donned a traditional saree and opted for braided hair to complete her look. That time too, the netizens compared her to Sridevi. Some of the comments were ‘She is looking like sridevi mam in sadma, same look', 'she is looking like an exact copy of her mom.. especially here’ and ‘She looks like her mother’.

Meanwhile, workwise, Janhvi is set to make her South debut with Devara co-starring Jr NTR. The film also stars Saif Ali Khan in pivotal role. Besides this, she will also feature in Sharan Sharma’s Mr & Mrs Mahi alongside Rajkummar Rao; and Ulajh co-starring Gulshan Devaiah.
