Lock Upp contestant and erotica actress Poonam Pandey passes away due to cervical cancer

Erotica actress and model Poonam Pandey has passed away due to cervical cancer. The news has come as a rude shock to the fans. She was 32 years of age.

Her team shared a statement announcing the same on her social media handle. It said, “This morning is a tough one for us. Deeply saddened to inform you that we have lost our beloved Poonam to cervical cancer. Every living form that ever came in contact with her was met with pure love and kindness. In this time of grief, we would request for privacy while we remember her fondly for all that we shared.”

Poonam’s team also confirmed the news to News18 wherein they said that the actress sadly passed away last night (February 1). Netizens have been expressing their shock and disbelief ever since the news came out. One of the netizens stated, “Sachii vishvaas nahi ho raha ,dekhne se to thik lagti thi.” While a user said, “Omg, What I couldn't believe Yrr. She is very pure hearted person.” A netizen furthermore said, “She never told us that she had cancer.” Another netizen added, “I am shocked please tell this is fake.” A netizen went on to say, “When she was diagnosed with this ? Omg ....RiP.” A user said, “Very shocking...rip.”

Pandey had grabbed several eyeballs when she had promised to strip if India won the 2011 World Cup. She has been part of films like The Journey Of Karma, Galti Sirf Tumhari, and Aa Gaya Hero. She had participated in the Kangana Ranaut-hosted show, Lock Upp. She had ended up as a semi-finalist in the same. Poonam was married to Sam Bombay but they separated on a rather unpleasant note.
