Liger star Vijay Deverakonda receiving hate message from his fans in Hyderabad, here's why
The Arjun Reddy actor is all set to make hi Bollywood debut with Puri Jagannadh's Liger opposite Ananya Panday. Backed by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions the film is set to arrive on August 25 in cinemas.
South sensation Vijay Deverakonda is geared up for his Bollywood debut with the pan-India film, Liger opposite Ananya Panday . The actor is on a promotional spree for which he reached Patna where he enjoyed chai with fans at a famous tea stall. A couple of days ago, he promoted Liger in several places in Mumbai. However, he has not yet visited his city Hyderabad for the promotions that has left several of his fans in the South upset.
According to a report on the Telugu news portal, there is a strong buzz that Vijay has been receiving some hate messages. Having created a niche in the south industry, the actor enjoys a massive fanbase in Hyderabad. Hence, his fans are expressing displeasure over his focusing more on the Hindi audiences to promote his upcoming movie. They are demanding him to concentrate on Telugu first and come to Hyderabad for promotions. Deverakonda made his acting debut with the 2011 Telugu film, Nuvvila. Since then we went to work in several movies including Yevade Subramanyam and Pelli Choopulu. However, it was the blockbuster Arjun Reddy that made him a sensation in the South industry. He further tasted commercial success with Mahanati, Taxiwaala, and Geetha Govindam. Now, the actor is all set to broaden his reach by entering the Hindi film industry with Puri Jagannadh's directorial Liger produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
In the upcoming film, Vijay will feature as an underdog MMA fighter, while Ananya Panday plays his love interest. The film also has Ramya Krishnan and Ronit Roy in prominent roles. Legendary boxer Mike Tyson will also be making an extended cameo in the movie. The film’s trailer and songs have piqued the interest of the audience to watch the movie which is arriving in theatres on August 25.
