Liam Payne, Former One Direction member passes away at 31; celebs express their shock

Today morning, everyone woke up to the shocking news about the untimely passing away of the 31-year-old British singer Liam Payne, who happened to be one of the key members of the globally famous band One Direction. As per the reports available, the singer had reportedly fallen from the third-floor balcony of his hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Needless to say that, the news of his sudden passing away has indeed shocked the entire world in totality!

There were many who took to social media and shared their condolences and their memories about the late musician. Prominent amongst them were the reality TV star Paris Hilton, the American singer Charlie Puth, rapper Flavor Flav, and many others who were seemingly short of words to express shock and grief over Liam's passing away.

There was also the Rapper Flav, who took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and posted, ‘RIP to Liam Payne... much too young’.

On the other hand, there was the well-known musician Zedd who posted, ‘Cant believe this is real. Absolutely heartbreaking’.

Charlie Puth, on his part, took to Instagram and posted, ‘I am in shock right now. Liam was always so kind to me. He was one of the first major artists I got to work with. I cannot believe he is gone." Hilton condoled Liam's death on X, writing, "So upsetting to hear the news of @LiamPayne passing. Sending love and condolences to his family & loved ones. RIP my friend’.

Amongst everyone there was also Apple Music, who posted on their social media handle, ‘RIP Liam Payne, the singer-songwriter who began his career wowing stadium-sized crowds with One Direction, and as a solo artist leaned more into bold, experimental club beats and forward-thinking bops’.

Reports also state that there were many One Direction fans who had gathered at the Casa Sur Hotel in Buenos Aires after the news of Liam's death broke. The fans were reportedly uncontrollably crying and hugging each other.

One user wrote, ‘One Direction, which was formed on the British singing competition The X Factor in 2010, after each member auditioned as a solo artist, will always be evergreen in everyone’s memories. Each and every member of the band became a global sensation and also were successful in captivating millions of fans worldwide with their catchy pop songs and charming personalities. I really wanted the original lineup of the band to be back (Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson). This news has really left me and many devastated’.

Another user posted, ‘Each and every member of the band One Direction had achieved massive commercial success, with multiple hit singles and albums topping charts around the world and with the release of What Makes You Beautiful, they became an international anthem and propelled them to stardom. What will we do now without the presence of Liam Payne’.

Another netizen posted, ‘I still remember that the band One Direction had embarked on four successful world tours, performing to sold-out stadiums and arenas filled with devoted fans.
