Laal Singh Chaddha: Aamir Khan earns Rs. 42 cr. more than co-star Kareena Kapoor Khan for the film; Check out their fee

The wait for Aamir Khan ’s next Laal Singh Chaddha had been long but the film is finally ready to arrive in cinemas in August this year. The Bollywood superstar who leads the cast of this Hindi remake of Tom Hanks ’ Forrest Gump has already kicked off the promotions for the movie with the song Kahani, which released this week.

Now, new information about the cast’s remuneration has come to light and according to reports, Aamir who has backed the project as a producer along with his ex-wife Kiran Rao, seems to be taking home a hefty fee for the project.

A report by TellyChakkar claims that Aamir has been paid a whopping Rs. 50 crores for the film. The Bollywood star as Laal Singh Chaddha in the film will be seen revisiting several key events from history in a journey of self discovery.

However, the earnings of the remainder of the cast pales in comparison. Kareena Kapoor Khan who stars opposite the actor in the film and has often been vocal about the huge pay gap between male and female stars has reportedly pocketed Rs. 8 crores from Laal Singh Chaddha.

Similarly, Telugu movie star Naga Chaitanya who makes his debut in Bollywood with the Aamir Khan starrer is said to have made Rs. 6 crores from the project. Whereas Mona Singh who has previously worked with Aamir and Kareena in the blockbuster 3 Idiots has reportedly earned Rs. 2 crores.

Laal Singh Chaddha directed by Advait Chandan is scheduled for its arrival in cinemas on 11 August nearly three years after it went into production. The movie will also feature Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo appearance and has been shot across several locations in India including, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Jaisalmer, Delhi, Goa, Ladakh, Kerala, Himachal Pradesh among others.
