KRK attains bail in his derogatory tweet case, to be freed from Thane jail today

Controversial film critic and producer Kamaal R Khan aka KRK has been granted bail on Wednesday (September 7) by a magistrate court in Borivali, Mumbai on his alleged derogatory tweet case against late actors Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan. The actor’s lawyer Ashok Saraogi said that he will most likely walk out of the Thane jail today (September 8). KRK was arrested on Saturday (September 3) for the second time in an alleged molestation case that was registered against him back in January 2019 at Versova Police Station.

According to a news report in Indian Express, Kamaal R Khan had promised to grant a lead role to the said victim in the case. The report further added that KRK was granted bail by a magistrate court in Andheri in the alleged molestation case on Tuesday (September 6). The victim had reportedly filed a complaint against the Deshdrohi actor at the Versova Police Station in June 2021.

Amidst all of this controversy, Kamaal R Khan left India for Dubai in March 2020. After this, a lookout circular was also registered against the Ek Villain actor for his alleged derogatory tweets against superstar Akshay Kumar post the release of his film Laxxmi. The producer-film critic was detained at the CSMI airport when he returned from Dubai.

Soon after that, Kamaal R Khan was arrested by the Malad police and sent to judicial custody by a magistrate court in Borivali. The alleged derogatory tweet case by KRK against late actors Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor was registered at the Bandra Police Station in 2020. According to ANI, Kamal was arrested on 30th August today for controversial tweets that he penned in 2020. The portal had shared: “Kamal Rashid Khan arrested by Malad Police over his controversial tweet in 2020. He was arrested after he landed at Mumbai Airport. He will be presented before Borivali Court today: Mumbai Police.” The complaint was filed by Yuva Sena's core committee member Rahul Kanal two years ago after Kamaal R Khan made a derogatory tweet about late superstars Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan.
