Kriti Sanon to team up with Aanand L Rai for a horror-comedy film? Here's what we know

Kriti Sanon, who recently made her debut as a producer, is one of the most loved actresses. Time and again, she has impressed the audience with her craft. She wowed everyone with her flawless performance in Mimi and even won the National Award for Best Actress for her role. Now after her last outing, Do Patti, it seems like Kriti is all set to team up with filmmaker Aanand L Rai. The new report suggests that the actress has been roped in for a horror comedy film, produced by Aanand L Rai under his banner Colour Yellow Productions. Earlier, it was also reported that Kriti is a part of Aanand L Rai's directed film Tere Ishq Mein alongside Dhanush.
Is Kriti Sanon a part of Aanand L Rai’s horror comedy?
A while ago, an exclusive report by Pinkvilla stated that Kriti Sanon has had multiple talks with Aanand L Rai, and is extremely fond of his work. It also said that the actress has expressed her interest in a horror comedy produced by the filmmaker which will go on floors by mid-2025. Reportedly, the title of the project is Nayi Naveli and the entire team is charged up to take the film on floors. The source shared, "The film in question will go on floors by mid-2025, once a major chunk of Tere Ishq Mein is wrapped up.”
The source further added, “Horror comedies are the flavour of the season, and Nayi Naveli aims to introduce a completely new flavour in the genre. Kriti is also excited about the dynamics of her character in the film, and loves how this folklore unfolds on the spectacle.”
While the director of the film has not been unveiled, the source revealed, "The pre-production works will begin by January. All the stakeholders are excited to explore a new genre in 2025."
Meanwhile, Aanand recently in an interview revealed that that he is also working on the script of Tanu Weds Manu 3 starring Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan.
