    While social media and celebrities have come forward to voice their support for the recently released Hema Committee Report, Malayalam actor Krishna Kumar has been slammed by netizens for his recent reaction to the report concerning sexual harassment in the Malayalam film industry. 

    For the unversed, in a recent vlog shared by his wife, Sindhu Krishna, the actor is seen mocking the Hema Committee Report and making jarring remarks alongside his wife. In the video, Krishna Kumar is heard downplaying the serious concerns raised in the report. He sarcastically cautions his wife, saying, “You better not blabber something in front of the camera; there are commissions and all happening around.” He follows this with another remark, mockingly adding, “Please don’t knock on my door when I’m sitting here,” referring to one of the revelations in the report, which mentioned that female actors had their doors knocked on by intoxicated cast and crew members asking for sexual favors within the industry.

    Netizens have slammed the actor and his wife for mocking such a serious issue. Many users expressed their disappointment and anger over the actor's sarcastic tone regarding such a grave matter. Labeling them as the “Taboo family in Mollywood,” users commented, “This family sure knows how to rage-bait and stay in the center of attention. Capitalizing on negative publicity is their whole shtick.” 

    The actor and his family members have yet to comment on the matter, which has been blowing up on social media platforms.

    Meanwhile, after the video went viral, Ahaana Krishna, the eldest daughter of Krishna Kumar, reshared a post from WCC’s (Women in Cinema Collective) official handle about the Hema Committee Report and extended her support. While it may seem like the Luca-fame actress is doing damage control after what her parents have put out, netizens don’t seem to be convinced.
