KK's demise: Bengali singer Rupankar Bagchi gets brutally trolled for mocking the late singer hours before his death

    In a news that has plunged the entire film and music fraternity into a state of shock and grief, veteran singer KK passed away at the age of 53 owing to a heart attack after he performed at a concert in Kolkata on Tuesday (May 31). While his fans and the entertainment fraternity are still mourning his demise, a video of Bengali singer Rupankar Bagchi has now been circulating on social media where he can be seen mocking the late singer a few hours before his death.

While his fans and the entertainment fraternity are still mourning his demise, a video of Bengali singer Rupankar Bagchi has now been circulating on social media where he can be seen mocking the late singer a few hours before his death. Netizens had been trolling Bagchi brutally after the same and now their anger has increased manifold on him after the tragic demise of KK.

    Talking about the video that has been going viral, Rupankar Bagchi in Bengali was seen questioning why Bengali people hype KK so much and not their Bengali artists. Bagchi then claimed that the majority of the Bengali singers including him sing much better than KK. Furthermore, taking a jibe at the late singer, Bagchi had asked ‘Who I KK?’ and had urged the Bengali fans to hype and listen to Bengali singers like the Oriya and South fans.

    While the video already started receiving a lot of negative comments and flak for Rupankar Bagchi, especially from the Bengali population with many fans accusing the singer to be jealous, the anger of the netizens has now increased ten folds after the tragic demise of KK.     However, according to some reports, Rupankar Bagchi had shortly addressed the media stating that his words were misinterpreted in the video. The singer had said that his statements were not directed towards any hatred towards KK but to instead raise awareness amongst the Bengali population towards Bengali singers. Talking about KK’s sad demise, the singer’s health had deteriorated after reaching his hotel but by the time he was rushed to the hospital, he was already pronounced dead.
