King - Abhay Verma joins Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan in Sujoy Ghosh’s film

    Shah Rukh Khan will be sharing screen space for the first time with his daughter, Suhana Khan, in director Sujoy Ghosh's King. According to news reports, Munjya actor Abhay Verma has been roped in to play a pivotal role in the film.

    A source close to the filmmaker has revealed, “Abhay Verma has got a lot of appreciation for his performance in Munjya and the same is reflecting in the kind of offers coming his way. He has bagged a key role in King alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan. He is excited to venture into this tentpole feature film.” The makers have yet to make this official.

    Speaking about the production of the film, the source revealed, “While the script is locked, the makers have also identified the shooting locations in India and abroad. The production team is now on the final step to get the entire ensemble cast in place alongside Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan, as they are aiming to take the film on floors in November 2024.”

    Sujoy Gosh’s action-packed thriller film King is being produced by Shah Rukh under his Red Chillies Entertainment banner, along with Siddharth Anand and Mamta Anand’s production house, Marflix. It was recently revealed that the makers have roped in Abhishek Bachchan to play the antagonist.

    King is the tale of a mentor-protegee bond between Shah Rukh and Suhana. The music and background score are being handled by Anirudh.

    Recently, a picture of Shah Rukh was leaked online, making fans wonder if the actor was shooting for King in Spain. In the image, Shah Rukh, dressed in a smart blue suit, is seen engrossed in a conversation with a group of men. The picture was clicked at a picturesque location as it is set against beautiful blue waters and mountains.
