    The makers of Salman Khan starrer Kick 2 has quashed the rumours of Asim Riaz being part of the cast on Twitter.

    Salman Khan starrer Kick was one of the highest grosser of 2014. Directed by Sajid Nadiadwala and backed under the banners of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the film is heading for a sequel, and fans are eager for an update on the film. Amid this, rumours have been doing rounds about the casting that Bigg Boss 13 fame Asim Riaz has been roped in to play a significant part in the sequel. In the latest development, the makers have refuted the rumours saying it is not true.

    Taking to Twitter, Nadiadwala Grandson’s official page attached a report that stated Asim Riaz joined Kick 2. Quashing the rumours, the production house tweeted, “We are working on our script for #Kick2 and this news is NOT TRUE! We request all the media houses to please clarify the news with us before printing (sic).” Take a look:

    A day ago, Asim’s Instagram post fuelled rumours that he has joined Salman in Kick 2. On Tuesday, he shared a selfie wearing a mask, a cap and a hoodie with the caption, “New Beginnings”. Though there was no mention of Kick 2, fans were quick to take it as a confirmation. “Congrats #AsimRiaz for new beginnings. Now it looks confirm that inspirational @imrealasim will be in #SalmanKhan starrer #Kick2. Hope production company stick to contract, keep the role as it's described to him & won't edit scenes. Wish u an abundance of happiness & success. All the best,” tweeted a fan after which the rumours spread like wildfire.

    Besides it, the news portal Free Press Journal also reported that Kick 2 will release in 2024 and an official announcement about Asim's role will be made soon. Meanwhile, the first instalment of the film featured Salman alongside Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Seems like fans have to wait a bit longer for any official update on the upcoming second instalment of the film.
