Taking to Instagram stories, Khushi shared a throwback picture of herself, along with her sister Janhvi and mother Sridevi.

Her father, Boney Kapoor, on the other hand, shared a portrait of Sridevi from her film English Vinglish. He captioned the post, “Happy birthday, my Jaan.”

The posts caught the attention of Sridevi’s fans and family who extended their wishes to the late actress. Boney’s brother Sanjay Kapoor and designer Manish Malhotra commented with multiple red emojis.

One social media user wrote, “She will always be the best,” while another fan wrote, “Happy birthday hawa hawai we miss you.”

Sridevi’s eldest daughter, Janhvi Kapoor has not shared any posts yet.

For those unaware, Sridevi was born as Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan in 1963 and featured in iconic films such as Chandni, Lamhe, Mr India, Chaalbaaz, Nagina, Sadma, and English Vinglish, among others. Sridevi was last seen in Mom, alongside Sajal Ali, for which the late actress received the National Award for Best Actress. Sridevi also had a cameo appearance in Shah Rukh Khan’s experimental film Zero, starring Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif.

    Sridevi’s demise

The news of Sridevi’s demise shocked the nation in 2018 when it was revealed that the actress passed away in Dubai. Soon after Sridevi’s demise, Janhvi made her Hindi film debut with Dhadak, alongside actor Ishaan Khatter.

Sridevi’s second daughter Khushi made her acting debut with Zoya Akhtar’s musical drama film The Archies in 2023, which also starred Shah Rukh Khan's daughter Suhana Khan and Amitabh Bachchan's grandson Agastya Nanda.

Speaking about her mother’s demise, Khushi said in an episode of Koffee With Karan that it took her a while to accept it. She revealed that once she understood what had happened, she was a bit confused, but she had the comfort of her sister and father Boney for help. She added, “I think I felt that I had to hold it together for everyone because I feel I've always been the strong one.”
