Katrina Kaif couldn’t join Vicky Kaushal at IIFA 2022 because she tested positive for COVID-19?

Due to novel coronavirus, the Bollywood industry along with the rest of the country was shut down for almost two longs years. Things got better in the last few months and many actors returned to work. But it seems like the virus has decided to strike again. A month ago Akshay Kumar contracted COVID-19 for the second time. He quarantined himself and had to miss the 75th Cannes Film Festival. Now Kartik Aaryan and Aditya Roy Kapur have also tested positive.

Well, according to the latest report shared by News18, actress Katrina Kaif had also tested positive for novel coronavirus recently. Due to this reason, she could not join Vijay Sethupathi on set last week to shoot Sriram Raghavan ’s Merry Christmas. Katrina also had to miss the 22nd IIFA Awards in Abu Dhabi last night, where her husband Vicky Kaushal won the Best Actor award for Sardar Udham . The report further states that the actress has now completed her quarantine period.

Last year in April, Katrina had contracted COVID-19 during the second wave. She had shared the news on her official social media handle and had requested all the people who had been in contact with her to get tested. However, this time the actress did not share a post about it. Meanwhile, when Vicky was asked about his wife on the green carpet at IIFA 2022, he described life after marriage as ‘sukoon bhari’ and shared that Katrina is doing well. He also added that he missed her presence at the event.
