    Kartik Aaryan's success story

That Kartik Aaryan is a bonafide superstar of the silver screen is something that has been proved. Gone are the days when he was called or termed as a ‘monologue guy’. These are the days when he is riding high with the success of almost all his films at the box office.

If the box office collections of his latest film Chandu Champion are anything to go by, then, Bollywood truly has got its very own champion in Kartik Aaryan! In a recent interview on the ‘Season 2 of the podcast ‘Be A Man, Yaar’ hosted by Nikhil Taneja, the gen-next superstar opened up about his life like never before! Here are the five things about Kartik Aaryan that we bet you didn't know!

His first crush and his first heartbreak!
In the said interview, Kartik Aaryan revealed (without naming that ‘special someone’) that he used to approach that person by doing her homework and writing her notes. And during the prayer meets, he would land up (intentionally) standing parallelly to her line!

And his first heartbreak was not in school… but, in college… his engineering college, to be more specific! He furthermore went on to reveal that, unlike other engineering colleges, his college had 70 percent girls and 30 percent boys! And, according to him, he had his first heartbreak because he was unable to express his feelings for that girl!

When he faced the harshest rejections in auditions!
In the interview, he said that rejections (during the auditions) were the harshest. In terms of, the ones taking his auditions had the ‘you don’t exist’ type of attitude towards him! During that time, he used to feel that he was without any value. There were many times when he was termed ‘unfit’, a term that he started hating to the core!

And one day, destiny came knocking at his door when he chose to bunk his college exams to give the audition for ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’. The rest, as they say, is his-story!

Did you know that Kartik is a firm believer of manifestation?
He admitted that he was and is a firm believer of manifestation. He said that he used to visualise and feel like an actor every day and every minute in his life. And the positive man inside him used to tell him that, the ones rejecting him in auditions are the ones who do not know acting!

He even showed the guts (hats off to him for doing this) when he admitted that, even the celebrity management companies also did not want to onboard him (at that time). And when asked the reason for that, Kartik revealed that ‘They did not see any value in me!”. And, in the same breath, he said that, today, those are the same companies who want to manage him and his career now!

How he dealt with his term ‘monologue guy’!
During the phase of being termed as a 'monologue guy', he said that he used to go into a shell. In the same breath, he added that he never ever had his family involved, as they were very scared about his professional future. And, when he decided to come to terms with reality, he credits his entire ‘rising like a phoenix’ phase totally to the audiences and their unwavering love which they have shown towards him.

He very beautifully put it by saying, ‘The loneliness is compensated by my fans’! And it was this attitude of his, which drove away the bitterness of his life!

    Kartik Aaryan the Bollywood outsider!
When asked about if he had ever tried to fit himself into the circles (read ‘socialise’), Kartik confessed that he was not able to do small talks, which he cannot do even today. In the same breath, he added that he did not like getting involved in such things like going to parties etc…

He even confessed of being a happy teetotaller... be it loneliness or with friends! He also added that, he has extremely invested himself in his professional life that he has almost no time to regret small things in his personal life.

His struggling phase during his mother’s illness
When the host Nikhil recalled Kartik’s social media post about his mother’s illness (she was battling with cancer at that time), the actor revealed that, it was the time when his film Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety was released and termed that as the saddest time of his life, as his family was going through a tough time.

He also revealed that he was in that mental state whereby he could have even just quit films. But it was his mother and her timely advice of not letting him quit films, that acted as a saviour of his career! He also revealed that, it was during that time, he used to cry a lot. He also said that he was there with her during the chemotherapy sessions.

But, today, he is a happy man as his mother fought the dreaded disease and came out a winner.
