Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor may reunite for Veere Di Wedding sequel, hints producer Rhea Kapoor

Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor had joined forces for the first time to bring the female buddy comedy film, Veere Di Wedding back in 2018. Speculations are rife that the two beauties would be reuniting for the sequel of the same movie. Directed by Shashank Ghosh, the first part also featured Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania.

On Thursday, Sonam’s sister and producer Rhea Kapoor , who backed Veere Di Wedding, dropped a major hint at the sequel. Taking to her Instagram stories, she wrote, “I never thought I was a sequel kinda girl but maybe I am,” and added four dancing ladies emoji to complete the post. Well, she didn’t reveal the name and cast of the sequel but one can happen to think of the Veere Di Wedding sequel. Earlier in August 2020, reports were doing rounds about the upcoming sequel after Kareena Kapoor Khan made a cryptic reply to Swara Bhasker’s comment on her post. When Swara commented, “Aag,” she replied, “Swarajiiii veere 2.”

For the unversed, Veere Di Wedding revolved around four friends who are facing issues with relationships, both on the family and sexual front. Despite negative reviews, the film emerged to be one of the highest-grossing movies of 2018. Besides Kareena, Sonam, Swara and Shikha, the film also had Neena Gupta, Sumeet Vyas, and Manoj Pahwa as part of the cast. Well, as per the latest buzz created by Rhea’s cryptic post, we are eager to know if the four actors will come together again or whether the makers will look for new faces.

Meanwhile, Rhea Kapoor is working on the female-led film, The Crew which stars Kareena Kapoor alongside Kriti Sanon and Tabu. The upcoming project also marks her first collaboration with producer Ekta Kapoor. Directed by Rajesh Krishnan, the film talks about three hard-working women and their unwarranted situations. this film also has Diljit Dosanjh as part of the cast.
