One of Bollywood’s most celebrated filmmaker Karan Johar took to social media and posted an extremely emotional post in the loving memory of his (late) father Yash Johar. That Karan Johar is extremely close to his father is pretty evident from the credits which gets seen before the start of any film, which has the photograph of his father Yash Johar with the caption ‘Miss You’.
Karan Johar’s love for his parents is also pretty evident from the majority of the films which he has made so far. On his father Yash Johar’s 20th death anniversary, Karan Johar took to social media and penned an extremely emotional post for his late father. Karan wrote, ‘I can’t believe it’s been 20 years…….. My biggest fear was losing a parent… August 2nd,2003 my father told me he had a malignant tumour… my worst nightmare was staring at me and yet it was my duty as his child to stay positive and keep the faith… but the worst thing about instincts are that….they never lie….’.

The filmmaker continued, ‘He left us 10 months after …. We lost him … but we gained every inch of his mammoth goodwill…. I was so proud to be the son of the most solid,soulful and selfless man… he put his relationships above everything else… and has left a legacy of love that my mother and I still live by …. I wish he knew our children … but I do know he’s watching over them and us….all the time … Love you Papa…’ Saying this, Karan wrapped up the heart-touching post with a red coloured emoji of a heart.
After the time Karan Johar posted the emotional note, there were an array of comments from his celebrity friends as well as his fans and followers on social media. While Priyanka Chopra wrote, ‘The best’ (with a hands folded emoji), there was Diana Penty who posted a heart emoji. On the other hand, there was the Bigg Boss OTT 3 host Anil Kapoor who posted, ‘loved him .. great guy’, celebs like Hrithik Roshan, Malaika Arora, Manish Malhotra, Manisha Koirala posted heart emojis.
