Karan Johar celebrates 'Rocky Day' as Ranveer Singh turns 38; Alia Bhatt turns photographer for the duo

Bollywood’s livewire and versatile actor Ranveer Singh turned a year older today (July 6, 2023). As the actor is geared up to play the character Rocky in his upcoming Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, director Karan Johar declared it a ‘Rocky Day’. Taking to Instagram, Karan shared a series of pictures with the birthday boy and penned an adorable note for him. His photo dump also enclosed a picture in which actress Alia Bhatt turned a photographer.

"It’s ROCKY day!!!! Happiest birthday to this magnanimous force of natureâ€æthank you for giving all your heart to our kahaaniâ€æRocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Lots of love to you always (sic),” wrote Karan alongside the pictures of him and Ranveer from the sets of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The third picture in the photo dump has Ranveer hugging Karan and Alia clicking their photo. Soon after the post surfaced, netizens spammed the comment section with reactions. “3rd pic is so cute,” wrote one of the users. Another user commented, “Haha the 3rd photo.” While others showered love and birthday wishes for Ranveer.

Most recently, Ranveer shared the trailer of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani in which he plays a flamboyant rich boy, who falls in love with a strong-headed and independent Bengali girl played by Alia Bhatt. The trailer received a lot of love and fans are eagerly waiting to watch the movie on July 28, 2023, in theatres. Backed by Dharma Productions, the film also has veteran actors Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan in pivotal roles.

Meanwhile, Ranveer was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus alongside Varun Sharma, Pooja Hegde and Jacqueline Fernandez. Up next, he is all set to headline Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 and Baiju Bawra helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali as per reports. On the personal front, Ranveer is married to Bollywood’s top actress Deepika Padukone. The two dated for a long time before tying the knot in November 2018.
