Today is Karan Johar’s 52nd birthday. Just like his films which are always larger than life, can his birthday be any less! Well… on the happy occasion of his birthday, the ace filmmaker Karan Johar took to social media and made a grand announcement about the launch of his new film! But, just like in the true Karan Johar style, there was a catch to it!
Today (May 25), Karan Johar took to social media and posted an announcement about his next film. He posted a photograph of himself, wherein he posed with the ‘draft’ of his next film. He captioned the same as ‘Get… Set…. Go’.
No sooner did he post the same, the comments section was almost overflowing with messages which had ‘Happy Birthday’ as well as a few ‘demands’ from the fans. First things first. After Karan Johar posted the film announcement, celebs including Malaika Arora who wrote, ‘That’s a happy happy birthday’. Besides her, there were other celebs including Neha Dhupia, Kriti Sanon, Aditi Rao Hydari, Manish Malhotra, Sophie Choudry and even Maitreyi Ramakrishnan who wished him ‘Happy Birthday’.
Besides the aforementioned, there were many of the fans and followers who not just wished the birthday boy Karan Johar on his birthday, but also started making ‘demands’ about the starcast. They demanded that the next film should have a starcast of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, and wanted Karan Johar to recreate the magic of the magical pair!

Readers may recall that, a few days back, when Karan Johar had announced the re-creation of the hit track ‘Dekha tennu pehli pehli baar vey’ in the film Mr And Mrs Mahi, there were many fans who were mighty upset with him, because of him touching the classical jodi of SRK and Kajol in the original film Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham.
Besides Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, there were a few netizens who wanted Karan to get back , Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani on the silver screen.
