Karan Johar and R. Madhavan react to PM Modi's emotional blog for his mother: 'This is so so special'
Filmmaker Karan Johar and actor R. Madhavan reacted to PM Narendra Modi's blog post deicated to his mother on her 100th birthday.
On his mother’s 100 birthday Prime Minister Narendra Modi penned a lengthy blog about his mother’s simple life and sacrifice as he has seen in his years growing up. The emotional note which the PM shared while extending birthday greetings to his mother Heeraben Modi on Twitter.
The note, read by Karan Johar and R Madhavan , received a heartfelt reaction from them who seem to have really related to Modi’s words as he spoke about his mother. The PM spoke about how his mother went from assuming responsibility of the household from a young age after her mother died and later did the same after marriage being the eldest daughter-in-law of the house.
He described his humble beginnings and the how she worked hard to make ends meet or how she decided to keep herself away from the public life he went on to live as a politician and never accompanied him to events. Modi who is rather close with his mother, seems to have struck a chord with the filmmaker and the actor who could see their own mothers’ reflection in the blog and reacted accordingly on Twitter.
The Prime Minister’s tweet read, “Maa…this isn’t a mere word but it captures a range of emotions. Today, 18th June is the day my Mother Heeraba enters her 100th year. On this special day, I have penned a few thoughts expressing joy and gratitude.”
Replying to the post Karan Johar wrote, “It’s a blessing to have our mothers holding our hands and blessing us through the journey of our lives….This is so so special and emotional …. @narendramodi.”
On the other hand, R Madhavan reacted to the post as well and said, “Gods bless her with the best of health and Extreme Happiness. This reminds me so much of Amma.”
PM Modi also visited his mother in Gujarat on her 100thbirthday and pictures and video from their meeting have also found their way on social media.
