Kapil Sharma calls himself 'romantic bird of India', reveals makers sent email asking him to flirt with actresses on The Kapil Sharma Show
After getting married to Ginni Chatrath and having two children, Kapil felt uncomfortable being the same flirty guy on the show. Hence, he became more serious and stopped being flirty but later received an email from the channel asking him to get back to flirting.
Comedian-turned-actor Kapil Sharma has often seen flirting with actresses on the sets of his comedy show The Kapil Sharma Show . However, after getting married to Ginni Chatrath and having two children, he felt uncomfortable being the same flirty guy on the show. Hence, he became more serious and stayed limited to asking questions about the films from the actresses. Recently, he revealed that the channel had sent an email to him after he changed his ways on the show.
Kapil recently appeared on Shehnaaz Gill ’s talk show, Desi Vibes with Shehnaaz Gill to promote his movie, Zwigato . During the interaction, it so happened that Shehnaaz complained to him that he did not react to her comment on one of his social media posts. She further taunted him for flirting with actresses on his comedy show. To which Kapil replied that flirting is scripted, and also that Sony TV has sent an email asking him to flirt when he stopped to do so.
Elaborating further, he said, “You won’t believe it, but the channel has asked me to (do so)… After I got married I used to feel shy, when a heroine would come (on the show). I would wonder what I’ll talk to them about. And then when I had kids I became even more serious, so I wouldn’t touch that angle and talk about their film. So they (the channel) wrote me an email that I’m missing this aspect and quoted a survey. So I told them to send a copy of that email to my wife also, so that she doesn’t get offended (when I flirt). I’m a romantic bird of India, like how the peacock is the national bird of India."
Meanwhile, Kapil is busy promoting his upcoming film, Zwigato which is directed by Nandita Das. The film revolves around a middle-class man who starts working as a food delivery guy after losing his job at a factory during the pandemic. Besides him, the film also stars Shahana Goswami and Tushar Acharya. The film is slated to hit theatres on March 17 alongside Rani Mukherji’s Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway.
