Here’s when the most-awaited teaser of Vishnu Manchu-starrer Kannappa will be released

After receiving a glorious reception at the Cannes Film Festival, the makers of Vishnu Manchu’s upcoming mythological drama, Kannappa, have announced the teaser release date of the film. The makers took to their social media handles to announce that the official teaser will be released on June 14. "After an overwhelming reception at Cannes, I am thrilled to share the teaser for this epic tale, Kannappa, with you on 14th June. This film holds a special place in my heart, and I can’t wait to welcome you all to the captivating world of #Kannappa,” Vishnu wrote on his social media, sharing an intriguing back-view poster of his character seated on a horse.
Notably, the actor had earlier revealed that the official teaser would be released worldwide on June 13, 2024, with a special screening for selected Telugu audiences in Hyderabad on May 30, 2024. However, it looks like the date has now been pushed to June 14, 2024.
Team Kannappa at Cannes
Earlier, on May 20, Vishnu Manchu attended the 77th Cannes Film Festival to promote his upcoming film, Kannappa. The teaser of the film debuted at the esteemed Olympia Theatre at the French Riviera. Accompanying him were his wife, Viranica Manchu, along with the producer of Kannappa, M. Mohan Babu, and choreographer, Prabhu Deva. They attended the premiere of Horizon: An American Saga, directed by Kevin Costner. Vishnu Manchu shared the photos on his Instagram, along with a few videos.

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, Kannappa boasts an ensemble cast that includes Mohan Babu, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, Prabhas, and Kajal Aggarwal, who will be playing the female lead. Akshay Kumar has reportedly completed shooting for his portions of the movie, which also marks his debut in Telugu films. Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar was roped in to play a pivotal role in the film; however, he opted out due to unknown reasons. His role was later offered to Akshay Kumar, who has a significant supporting role in the mythological movie.
