The makers of the upcoming movie Kanguva unveiled a lyrical song on Tuesday to celebrate Tamil superstar Suriya's 49th birthday. The song, titled "Fire Song," is composed by Devi Sri Prasad and penned by Viveka. It is performed by an ensemble including VM. Mahalingam, Senthil Ganesh, Shenbagaraj, and Deepthi Suresh.
"Fire Song" is rich in lexicon, with Viveka incorporating references to various aspects of ancient Tamil culture. The song can be described as a battle anthem, featuring Suriya leading an army of men who dance around a massive campfire. It is designed to sing the praises of Suriya's character, Kanguva, who appears to be the chief of a tribal community.
Kanguva is one of the most highly anticipated releases of 2024. It is a significant movie in Suriya's career, as he has spent more than two years working on this single project. Kanguva has been mounted on a grand scale and is the most expensive film of Suriya's career.
Written and directed by Siva, Kanguva is a fantasy drama that spans 600 years, travelling back and forth in time. Kanguva is expected to be a visual spectacle, high on action sequences. The movie also stars Bollywood actor Bobby Deol as the main rival of Suriya's character, Kanguva. The film is set to open across the country in multiple languages simultaneously on October 10.
