Kangana Ranaut and Karan Johar ’s rift doesn’t seem to die down. Once again the Dhaakad actress took a dig at the filmmaker for his controversial statement on the Hindi language in his autobiography. She credits herself for changing mindsets about small-town Hindi-speaking people.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Kangana shared the news article about Karan making a big statement about Aditya Chopra that he used to hate him in childhood since he used to talk in Hindi often. Commenting on it, she wrote, "I don't fight individuals I fight mindsets..And to a large extent I have fought this prejudice against small town Hindi speaking people."
In his autobiography, ‘An Unsuitable Boy’, Karan mentioned that he has been among star kids since childhood and knew Abhishek Bachchan, Zoya Akhtar, and Hrithik Roshan among others. He revealed that he had always been close to Zoya, Shweta, and Abhishek because they were very smart. However, he has never been able to develop a rapport with them. In the case of Aditya and his group of boys, he could not bear them since they spoke in Hindi. Back in 2017, when his autobiography was released, he was criticized a lot for describing Hindi as downmarket.
Earlier, Kangana mocked the filmmaker at the time he was geared up for the seventh season of his juicy chat show Koffee with Karan. Addressing Karan as ‘Papa jo’, she wished him good luck and reminded him of the old explosive episode where she accused him of nepotism. “Papa jo is promoting all famous coffee episode as it premieres on OTT today, good luck to papa jo… but what about this episode of sorry!!! surgical strike, ghar mein ghusss ke mara tha na, my episode is his most popular episode and after this he got banned on tv (sic), “ she had written on her IG stories.
