Kangana Ranaut mocks 'Papa jo' Karan Johar ahead of Koffee With Karan 7, reminds him of her explosive episode

Kangana Ranaut never misses a chance to take a dig at Karan Johar . As the filmmaker is geared up for the seventh season of the juicy chat show Koffee with Karan, the actress wished good luck to ‘Papa jo’ in a rather sarcastic manner.

Taking to her Instagram stories, the Queen actress shared a snapshot of the explosive episode from KWK season 5 in which she had accused Karan of nepotism. She was joined by her Rangoon co-stars Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in the episode which was telecasted on television in 2017. Alongside the snapshot, she wrote, “Papa jo is promoting all famous coffee episode as it premieres on OTT today, good luck to papa jo… but what about this episode of sorry!!! surgical strike, ghar mein ghusss ke mara tha na, my episode is his most popular episode and after this he got banned on tv (sic)."

For the unversed, Kangana grabbed eyeballs with her controversial statements back in 2017 on Koffee with Karan season 5. She referred to Karan as a 'flag bearer of nepotism' during the episode which left the filmmaker speechless. She also revealed how people made fun of her voice actually helped her become a better speaker. Since then, the two have not been on good terms with each other. Despite several years past, Kangana even now directly or indirectly criticizes Karan for his movies and for promoting star kids.

Meanwhile, Karan is returning as host of her infamous chat show with the seventh season starting Thursday. The first episode of the season will have Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh as guests on the coffee couch. This year, the show will be streaming on to the OTT platform, Disney + Hotstar . The guest lists also include Varun Dhawan - Anil Kapoor , Ananya Panday - Vijay Deverakonda , Sara Ali Khan - Janhvi Kapoor , Shahid Kapoor- Kiara Advani , Samantha Ruth Prabhu- Akshay Kumar , and Tiger Shroff- Kriti Sanon among others.
