Kangana Ranaut is back as the fiery Tanuja Trivedi, to begin shooting for Tanu Weds Manu 3 soon
Kangana Ranaut didn’t divulge much details on Tanu Weds Manu 3. However, she expressed the desire to work with Tanu Weds Manu director Aanand L R again.

Kangana Ranaut has been busy promoting her recently released Tejas. The film finally hit the theatres and opened to mixed reviews. It is being predicted that the film will not be able to make a mark at the box office due to dull response. It would add to Kangana's worries as she had faced a major setback with Dhaakad(2022). Amid this, Kangana revealed that she will soon begin shooting for Tanu Weds Manu 3, leaving fans excited and giving herself a definite chance at the box office.
For the unversed, Tanu Weds Manu franchise has proved to be a game changer for Kangana’s success at the box office. The first installment, which was released in 2011 turned out to be a commercial success. It also starred R Madhavan, Jimmy Shergill, Swara Bhasker and Deepak Dobriyal in pivotal roles. The second installment was released in 2015 and emerged as one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of 2015. Kangana reprised her role of Tanuja Trivedi and also played her look-alike character Datto in the movie. Mohammad Zeeshan was added to the cast of the Tanu Weds Manu Returns.
Speaking to IMDb, Kangana revealed her upcoming projects. She said that her next project is a thriller film alongside South sensation Vijay Sethupathi. She will also be seen in Noti Binodini, a film based on the Bengali theatre legend. What came as a surprise was her third project, Tanu Weds Manu 3. The actress didn’t divulge much details on the film. However, she expressed the desire to work with Tanu Weds Manu director Aanand L R again. Meanwhile, Kangana essays the role of Tejas Gill, an Air Force pilot in Tejas. The film also stars Varun Mitra, Ashish Vidyarthi, Veena Nair and Anshul Chauhan in key roles. Directed by Sarvesh Mewara, the film was released on October 27, 2023. Besides this, Kangana also has Emergency, a political drama in which she plays the former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, in the pipeline.
