    Kangana Ranaut ’s Emergency has got a new addition in the cast and it is none other than Milind Soman . The actor is all set to play the role of war hero Sam Manekshaw, who led India to victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Interestingly, Vicky Kaushal is also playing the legendary character in his upcoming movie Sam Bahadur being helmed by Meghna Gulzar. His first look has dropped quite some time ago. And with the latest poster of Milind Soman dropped now, the comparison is inevitable.

    Taking to Instagram handle, Kangana shared the first look poster of Milind and wrote, “Presenting the dynamic @milindrunning as #SamManekshaw, the man instrumental for saving India’s frontiers during the Indo-Pak war and whose service was as distinguished as his honesty; a charmer, a war hero and a visionary leader in #Emergency”. On the other hand, excited Milind is “honoured to be a part of @kanganaranaut ’s directorial #Emergency and play the role of #SamManekshaw, the man who, with his wit and gallantry, led India to victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war!” Take a look at the first look:

While ace actor Anupam Kher is essaying the role of Lok Nayak Jaya Prakash Narayan, Shreyas Talpade will be seen as Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee. And Mahima Chaudhry will be seen as Pupul Jayakar, a close friend of Indira Gandhi.

    Meanwhile, the upcoming movie Emergency will showcase the reasons behind Indira Gandhi's harsh decision of imposing the Emergency in the country between 1975-1977. Kangana is all set to essay iconic politician and India’s first woman Prime Minister Indira in the film. She is not only acting but directing the movie. Produced by Renu Pitti and Kangana under the Ease My Trip and Manikarnika Films banners, the film is set to hit the theatres in 2023.
