Ever since the update about Raghava Lawrence reviving his horror drama franchise Kanchana 4 was confirmed, fans have been circulating several speculations about the film. In the latest buzz, Mrunal Thakur’s involvement in the project is being widely discussed. The actress, who is yet to make her Kollywood debut, was reportedly in talks to do the project. However, refuting all the rumours, actor-director Raghava Lawrence took to his social media handles to clarify the speculations that have been circulating.

In his X post, the actor-director wrote, “Hi friends and fans, all the information regarding Kanchana 4 and casting that is circulating around social media are just rumours. An official announcement will be made through Ragavendra Production. Coming soon!”

But now that Raghava Lawrence himself has clarified the speculations, we may have to wait a little more to learn about the cast and crew behind the upcoming fourth instalment of the Kanchana franchise.

It looks like Raghava Lawrence is drawing inspiration from Sundar C in reviving his horror drama franchise. According to the earlier reports, the makers are gearing up to begin shooting for the film, as Raghava Lawrence has finished the scripting. Reports suggest that filming is set to start in September 2024, with further details to be announced soon.

On the work front, Raghava Lawrence has an impressive array of projects lined up. The actor will be seen in Venkat Mohan's upcoming film Hunter, where he will play an intense character. He will also appear in Benz, directed by filmmaker Bakkiyaraj Kannan and produced by Lokesh Kanagaraj’s home production company, G Squad. Lawrence is also rumoured to be part of Cooloe, the upcoming Rajinikanth-starrer action flick directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. However, an official announcement is awaited.
