Kamaal Rashid Khan aka KRK arrested for 2020 tweets disrespecting late superstars Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan
Kamaal Rashid Khan, better known as KRK, often takes digs at Bollywood stars and the film industry. Well, his tweets have now caught up with him and he has been arrested for derogatory posts he shared in 2020.
Kamaal Rashid Khan is one of the most controversial individuals in the entertainment industry. While he has starred in only one Hindi film titled Deshdrohi in his career, he is well known for his sensational tweets. Just recently he made headlines when he wrongfully blamed actress Anushka Sharma for her cricketer husband Virat Kohli’s mental health. Netizens slammed him for his words and the tweet was later deleted. Well, this was not the first time he made a derogatory tweet. But now his posts have caught up with him and he has been arrested.
According to ANI, Kamaal aka KRK has been arrested on 30th August today for controversial tweets that he penned in 2020. The portal shared: “Kamal Rashid Khan arrested by Malad Police over his controversial tweet in 2020. He was arrested after he landed at Mumbai Airport. He will be presented before Borivali Court today: Mumbai Police.” The complaint was filed by Yuva Sena's core committee member Rahul Kanal two years ago after KRK made derogatory tweets about late superstars Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan .
On 30th April, 2020, KRK has stated that Rishi ‘must not die’ because wine shops were going to open soon. In a report shared by India Today, Rahul was quoted saying, “Kamal R Khan has been arrested today on my complaint. I welcome this move by Mumbai police. He makes derogatory comments on social media and uses foul language. Such kind of behavior is unacceptable in society. By arresting him, Mumbai police has sent out a strong message against such people.”
KRK will be presented at the Borivali Court at 11pm today.
