Kalki Koechlin pens heartfelt note for Aaliyah Kashyap and Shane Gregoire; wishes them ‘ishq, pyaar and mohabbat’

Anurag Kashyap’s daughter, social media influencer Aaliyah Kashyap, recently tied the knot with longtime boyfriend Shane Gregoire in an intimate ceremony in Mumbai. The wedding ceremony was also attended by Anurag’s ex-wife, Kalki Koechlin who shared pictures of the lovely couple on social media while writing down a heartfelt note, wishing them ‘ishq, pyaar and mohabbat.’   Aaliyah and Shane tied the knot on December 11 and announced the news by sharing pictures of their wedding on social media.

Taking to Instagram, Kalki shared lovely pictures of Aaliyah and Shane from their wedding ceremony along with a long caption.

“All I got is a bunch of stuff other people said. You’re ‘Just Kids’ (Patti smith’s autobiography) ‘Two drifters off to see the world, there’s such a lot of world to see’ (B’fast @ Tiffany’s, infinite rewatch value) So ‘trust your heart if the seas catch fire, live by love though the stars walk backwards’ (E.E Cummings, a favorite poet of mine) Remember ‘time brings roses’ (Portuguese proverb) And ‘nothing will work unless you do’ (the greatest of all, Maya Angelou)," a part of her post read.

She concluded by saying, “‘I see babies cry, I watch ‘em grow, They’ll know much more, Than I’ll ever know, And I think to myself, What a wonderful world’, (Louis Armstrong said it) Wish you guys all the ‘ishq, pyaar and mohabbat’ in the world (like the theme of a thousand Bollywood films).”

Reacting to the post, Shane wrote, “Aw this is so sweet thank you,” while Aaliyah commented, “Love you so much!!!”

Aaliyah also shared pictures from her wedding on social media and captioned it, "now and forever." For the wedding, Aaliyah opted for an embellished pink lehenga while Shane looked stunning in an ivory-coloured sherwani.

For those unaware, Anurag was previously married to Kalki Koechlin. She even attended the engagement ceremony of Aaliyah held in December 2023 in Mumbai. The actress attended the ceremony with her toddler, Sappho.

Kalki got married to Anurag in 2011 but the couple separated after four years of marriage in 2015.
