    Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi was recently trolled for his comments on South superstar Prahas’ character in Kalki 2898 AD. The actor called Prabhas a ‘joker’ in the film which drew much criticism from the South industry. Now, after Kalki 2898 AD was released on OTT, people are taking to social media to express their agreement with Arshad.

    Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), a section of netizens expressed their agreement with Arshad Warsi’s comment on Prabhas’ character in Kalki 2898 AD. While sharing a picture of Prabhas from the film, one user wrote, “#ArshadWarsi didn’t say anything wrong here. He didn’t like the character Prabhas was playing and one should be critical about that. Prabhas was literally a joker in #Kalki tbvh, he was having all cringy scenes in the film. #Prabhas #ArshadWarsi.”

    Speaking in Arshad’s defense, a user wrote that the actor wanted to convey that an actor like Prabhas deserved better character treatment than what was offered to him. The user even added that people turn brutal even at the slightest criticism directed towards their favourite actors.

    The controversy was also much discussed on social media with one user mentioning that even though Prabhas is a big crowd puller, he is an average actor whose role in Kalki 2898 AD looked cringe. The user added, “Arshad warsi is 100% right..”

    Calling Kalki 2898 AD an average film, another user agreed with Arshad’s opinion and wrote that Prabhas was like a joker in the film. The user even suggested that actor Allu Arjun should have done the role, instead of Prabhas.

    For those unaware, Arshad Warsi in an interview with Samdish Bhatia said that he did not like Kalki 2898 AD and that Prabhas looked like a joker in the film. He said, “Prabhas, I am really sad, why was he… he was like a joker. Why? I want to see a Mad Max. I want to see Mel Gibson over there. Tumne usko kya bana dia yaar. Kyu karte ho aisa mujhe nahi samajh mein aata (What did you make of him. Why do peole do this I don’t understand).”
