Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan captured the imagination of audiences with his performance as Supreme Yaskin , the ultimate tyrant ruling over the last city on Earth in Kalki 2898 AD. He appears in only a few scenes in the three-hour-long movie but leaves an indelible mark on the minds of viewers.

Now, a new photo claiming to be one of the rejected looks for Yaskin is making the rounds on the internet. In that photo, Kamal looks more menacing as a cyborg despot, complete with battle scars, muscular shoulders, and ornaments. This look aligns with the character of a villain who aspires to become the one and only god in a dystopian world. However, there is no official confirmation as to whether the filmmakers had originally considered it for Kamal.

Earlier, Kamal revealed that he and director Nag Ashwin tried and rejected a few looks before they finally settled on the one seen in Kalki 2898 AD. "This get-up took a long time. We travelled to LA and failed a couple of times before we arrived at a look that was acceptable to the director. I hope that the audience will react the same way as we did when we saw the first look," Kamal said before the movie's release.

Kamal's unique makeup as Yaskin was one of the key reasons behind the success of his performance in the movie. He appears as a cyborg relying on high-tech to keep his ailing body alive. The first time we see him, his skin is thin and wrinkled, and he seems to be rotting from the inside. He meditates in his specially designed chamber, probably to maintain some warmth in his cold blood. Yaskin doesn't look anything like a human; he resembles a serpent that can talk.

Kamal also noted that while he only makes a cameo appearance in Kalki 2898 AD, he has a bigger role to play in Kalki Part 2, which will show him in an entirely new look.
