Kalki 2898 AD enters Rs 1000-crore club! Prabhas makes powerful comeback to beat SRK’s Pathaan
Here’s the latest box office achievement by Prabhas and Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD.

Prabhas and Nag Ashwin’s blockbuster epic Kalki 2898 AD has successfully entered the prestigious Rs 1000 crore club. On day 16 of its release, the makers announced that the film had crossed the Rs 1000-crore mark in the international box office. The makers of the film shared a special post to celebrate this milestone.

As per the latest industry tracker reports, the Prabhas-starrer has minted approximately Rs 5.2 crore in India on day 16, bringing the film’s domestic collections to Rs 548 crore. Language-wise, Kalki’s Telugu version has made Rs 255 crore, while its Hindi version has made Rs 236 crore. According to trade analyst Ramesh Bala, Kalki 2898 AD crossed the Rs 1000 crore mark on its third Friday, a milestone which was first surpassed by Jawan and Pathaan, both starring Shah Rukh Khan, last year.
Prabhas has finally succeeded in breaking the series of big-budget flops following the release of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion in 2017, with only one movie --Salaar: Part 1 becoming a hit. The Prabhas-starrer Kalki 2898 AD has successfully emerged as a blockbuster hit in the Telugu and Hindi markets as well.
Kalki makers celebrate new milestone
The film’s production banner Vyjayanthi Movies released a celebratory poster of Kalki 2898 AD achieving the new milestone. They wrote, "1000 CRORES and counting… This milestone is a celebration of your love. We poured our hearts into this film, and you embraced it with open hearts. Thank you to the audience across the world.”
Directed by Nag Ashwin, the sci-fi spectacle focuses on a dystopian era where the modern avatar of the Hindu god Vishnu, Kalki, descends on Earth to fight evil forces. The movie boasts a star-studded cast that includes Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani, Anna Ben, Pasupathy, Shobana, Saswata Chatterjee, and Brahmanandam, along with Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur, Vijay Deverakonda, Ram Gopal Varma, SS Rajamouli, and Malavika Nair making cameo appearances.
