Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal in an intimate ceremony on Sunday. The ceremony was followed by a grand celebration in Mumbai which was attended by Bollywood celebrities such as Anil Kapoor, Kajol, Yo Yo Honey Singh, and Aditi Rao Hydari, among others. Sharing a video from Sonakshi’s celebration, actress Kajol has congratulated the new couple on her Instagram stories and wished them ‘a ton of happiness and joy.’

Taking to Instagram stories, Kajol shared a selfie video of herself, along with bride Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal from their wedding celebration in Bastian, Mumbai. The video begins with Kajol and Sonakshi posing for the selfie, while there are people dancing their hearts out in the background. Later, Sonakshi invites Zaheer into the frame and the three start dancing to the beats of the dhol.  She also wished the young couple ‘a ton of happiness and joy.’

In another video shared by the paparazzi, Kajol is seen getting emotional and holding her face after looking at Sonakshi in her bridal avatar. For the celebration, Kajol opted for a stunning, metallic, olive-green saree, paired with a floral print blouse. She completed her look with glossy nude lips and chunky earrings.

Sonakshi-Zaheer outfit choices

Sonakshi opted for an ivory-coloured saree for the civil marriage but changed into a vibrant red saree for the grand celebrations in the evening. Zaheer complemented Sonakshi in a white ethnic ensemble.

After the private function, Sonakshi hosted a grand wedding celebration in Mumbai with guests including Raveena Tandon, Richa Chadha, Salman Khan, Rekha, and Sharmin Segal, among others.

The news around Sonakshi’s wedding has been making headlines ever since the couple’s adorable audio invite was leaked online. The invite said, “The moment where we go from being each other’s rumoured girlfriend and boyfriend to being each other’s definite and official husband and wife. Finally!
