Actor Jyothika is upbeat about the upcoming Tamil movie "Kanguva," starring Tamil superstar Suriya. She claimed that the film would provide a one-of-a-kind experience to the audiences while praising Suriya's work ethic and strong personality.
She noted that Suriya is as dedicated to his family as he is to his profession, as he puts "200 percent" into everything he does. "Whether it's our children, our marriage, or his career, he gives 200 percent. I think he's a fabulous actor and man; when it comes to fulfilling all his duties, he's just there," she told Pinkvilla.
Jyothika met Suriya on the sets of "Poovellam Kettuppar" in 1999 and fell in love. The couple tied the knot in 2006, and they have two children: a daughter Diya and a son Dev. After the marriage, Jyothika took a long break from her career to raise a family. She made her big-screen comeback with "36 Vayadhinile" in 2015.
The "Kanguva" show
Jyothika revealed that she had seen a few clips of "Kanguva," and that was enough to convince her about the movie's ability to deliver a spectacular cinematic experience.
"I have only seen a few of the clips, but definitely, I would say cinema is going to witness something for the first time, which is so magnum opus and so well-made," she promised.
"Kanguva" is one of the most-awaited movies of 2024. The film is touted to be the costliest film in Suriya's career. Producer KE Gnanavel Raja claimed that the budget of "Kanguva" is three times more than a typical Suriya movie.
"Kanguva" caught the imagination of the audience soon after the filmmakers revealed a teaser giving a glimpse into Suriya's medieval look. The film is believed to be a fantasy drama that spans 500 years. Suriya will be seen in a double role: a medieval warlord and a modern-day man.
Written and directed by Siva, "Kanguva" stars Bobby Deol as the main antagonist. The filmmakers have not confirmed its release date yet.
