Jennifer Winget name crops up as the leading lady of Aashiqui 3, even Anurag Basu has heard it!
As Kartik Aaryan has been confirmed to lead Aashiqui 3, actress Jennifer Winget's name has cropped up now to be the leading lady in the film.
The year 2022 belongs to Kartik Aaryan in Bollywood and following the celebrations of the success of his mega hit Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, the actor has now got his fans excited with the announcement of his next big outing. Kartik will be seen in the recently announced Aashiqui 3 which will be directed by filmmaker Anurag Basu .
The film which is a remake of the 1990’s original Aashiqui starring Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal already has the fans excited with the announcement. However, soon after Katrik being confirmed to lead the project, speculations have started doing the rounds about who he could be seen romancing in the love story.
The Aashiqui franchise is a proven hit and according to latest rumours actress Jennifer Winget , who is a mega telly star, is in talks for the project. Jennifer made her Bollywood debut in 2018 opposite filmmaker turned actor Kunal Kohli in the film Phir Se. However, if the reports about her leading Aashiqui 3 turn out to be true, will be a big stepping stone in her career.
While Jennifer may not have reacted to these reports, Aashiqui 3 director Anurag Basu sure has. Talking to India Forums, the filmmaker clarified, “Well, I’ve been also hearing about these rumors. However, honestly, we’re currently at a very nascent stage. We’re currently ideating about various other aspects of film-making. Casting will be locked later on.”
Kartik confirmed Aashiqui 3 as the next big film in his line-up of upcoming films on Monday as he shared a promo with the title slate. In a statement to the press he expressed his excitement saying, “The timeless classic ‘Aashiqui’ is something I grew up watching and working on ‘Aashiqui 3’ is like a dream come true. I feel privileged yet grateful collaborating with Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt for this opportunity. I’ve been a big fan of Anurag Basu’s work and collaborating with him on this one will definitely shape me in many ways.”
