Jawan director Atlee and wife Priya are expecting first baby; wishes pour in

Bollywood filmmaker Atlee Kumar and his wife Krishna Priya took to social media to make a special announcement about them expecting their first child. The couple revealed the good news on Instagram with a black and white picture that shows Krishna Priya facing Atlee and flaunting her baby bump. “Happy to announce that we are pregnant and we need your support and love. With love, Atlee & Priya”, wrote the couple.

Atlee got married to Priya in the year 2014. The couple also released a statement. “We are grateful for all the love and support you have showered upon us over the years, we would like you to continue showing your love to our little one as well. Eagerly waiting to embark on this exciting adventure of bringing our little bundle of happiness into this world with all your blessings” says the power couple of Indian Cinema,” the statement read.

The couple’s social media post announcing pregnancy also received best wishes from Nazriya Fahadh, Sanya Malhotra, and other celebrities. Atlee will make his Bollywood directorial debut with the movie Jawan, which stars Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara. Earlier in June, Atlee had shared the teaser Jawan saying, “Feeling emotional, excited & blessed. Grew up admiring you but never imagined that I would be directing you sir. @iamsrk & I proudly present to you #Jawan” The movie is scheduled to be released on 2 June 2023. The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Meanwhile, Atlee made a big name for himself after the grand success of his Tamil movie ‘Bigil.’ The movie went on to become the highest-grosser in the year 2019. Atlee started as an assistant director to S Shankar for Enthiran (2010) and Nanban (2012). He made his directorial debut with the film Raja Rani starring Nayanthara, Nazriya, Arya, and Jai.
