Mr. & Mrs. Mahi actress Janhvi Kapoor recently spoke about her parents and that she was paranoid about losing them even at a very young age.

Janhvi Kapoor is all set to showcase her acting prowess and athletic talent in Sharan Sharma’s Mr. & Mrs. Mahi which will be releasing in theatres on May 31. In a recent interview, Janhvi spoke about the death of her mother, actress Sridevi. The actress also revealed that she was paranoid about losing her parents even at a very young age.
Janhvi Kapoor on her fear of losing her parents
During a conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia, the host of the podcast showed a picture of a young Janhvi Kapoor and asked what was the sadness in that little girl’s life. Janhvi replied that even at that point she was very paranoid about losing her parents. She said, “Even at that age, if they went out for an event, or they were traveling for more than a day without me, or if I have come home alone with the nanny, I would always feel like they are not going to make it to the flight, I didn’t know if they were going to come back home.”
Speaking further about this, Janhvi said that when she was young, she would sometimes go inside their room late at night and check if they were breathing.

In the same interview, Janhvi spoke about dealing with aging parents and said that she feels proud that in the Indian culture, children are supposed to take care of their elderly parents. She said, “I know that I will give my father a lot more allowances to not be there for me emotionally than I assumed a father should be because I know it’s my time to be there for him. I am obsessed with my father.”
Janhvi said that she wants to create a safe environment for her father Boney Kapoor, where it’s okay for him to mess up, have fun and think about himself.
For the unversed, Janhvi Kapoor is the daughter of Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor and late actress Sridevi. Janhvi has a younger sister, Khushi Kapoor, who made her acting debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies.
Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s Mr. & Mrs. Mahi will hit the theatres on May 31.
