Janhvi Kapoor reveals her biggest learning from Ulajh, announces film's wrap with BTS pictures
Directed by Sudhanshu Saria, Ulajh follows the journey of a young Indian Foreign Service officer who hails from a family of patriots.
Janhvi Kapoor returned to Mumbai after wrapping up the UL schedule of her upcoming Ulajh. Recently, the actress completed the final leg of the shooting for the highly anticipated patriotic thriller and announced its wrap with a series of intense BTS pictures. Alongside, she also penned a long note and shared her ‘biggest learning’ from the film while thanking her cast and crew.
Directed by Sudhanshu Saria, Ulajh follows the journey of a young Indian Foreign Service officer who hails from a family of patriots. While serving in a career-defining post far from the homeland, she gets embroidered in a perilous personal conspiracy. On Sunday, Janhvi took to Instagram and wrote, “It’s a wrap (red heart emoji) still having dreams of the world we tried to create. Each film has been a lesson, and it’s story deeply and coincidently intertwined with things happening in my life.”
She then revealed her learning from her character Suhana in the film. “And through Suhana's journey, and the journey of making this film- my biggest learning has been to allow yourself to love what you do, to identify if you’re doing it for the right reasons, to let go of baggage and external pressures and opinions. To get off a hamster wheel that leads to nowhere and let yourself walk to your own pace, as long as you believe in where you’re going,” she added.
She also thanked her director Sudhanshu in her note that read, “You have made me believe in myself in a way that I didn’t even know I needed. You made me feel heard, and seen and made me want to fight battles that I never knew I had a right to even be a part of. To see you smile in the face of each obstacle and embrace each challenge with enthusiasm is beyond inspiring.” She also expressed gratitude to the DOP Shreya Dev Dube. “I am so grateful that I was baring my soul to a lense that was being held by you, I felt protected, inspired and sooo much love. You made each moment feel intimate and bigger than any of us at the same time. She concluded by adding, “Everything about this journey has been so healing, and that’s only because of our amazing team!!! I hope you guys feel as passionately as we did, about what we’ve tried so hard to create.”
Meanwhile, Ulajh also stars Gulshan Devaiah and Roshan Mathew in the lead roles. Backed by Junglee Pictures, the new-age thriller also has Rajesh Tailang, Meiyang Chang, Sachin Khedekar, Rajendra Gupta, and Jitendra Joshi in pivotal roles. The makers are yet to announce the official release date.
