    Director Nelson Dilipkumar provided an interesting update on when Rajinikanth-starrer sequel Jailer 2's production will begin.

    Jailer-fame director Nelson Dilipkumar has been relentlessly promoting his upcoming production venture, Bloody Beggar, featuring actor Kavin. The acclaimed commercial director's much-awaited sequel Rajinikanth-starrer Jailer 2 is yet to begin production. Recently, he provided an interesting update on when the movie's production will commence.

    During a recent promotional interview with filmmaker KS Ravikumar, Nelson was asked about when he would start shooting Jailer 2. Nelson, who was accompanied by actor Kavin, revealed that he would soon begin the production of Jailer 2 once leading man Rajinikanth completes his shooting for the upcoming gangster action film Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.

    The director mentioned that although he plans to begin production after Rajinikanth wraps up shooting for Coolie, he is unsure whether the Tamil superstar has any other movies scheduled for filming in between. However, Nelson confirmed that he has not planned any other projects and will swiftly begin working on Jailer 2 after the release of his production venture Bloody Beggar.

    Nelson Dilipkumar's 2023 blockbuster Jailer broke several records and earned praise from viewers and critics across the country. Earlier, there were several reports stating that Tamil actor and Rajinikanth's ex-son-in-law, Dhanush, had been approached to play a key role in the film. However, an official confirmation on this is still awaited. Nelson previously announced that he is set to reunite with Thalaivar Rajinikanth, who played Muthuvel Pandian in the first film, for the sequel, and he has reportedly begun work on the script. Interestingly, the first installment featured popular cameos from Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, and Jackie Shroff, and Nelson is planning to bring them back for the sequel as well.

    The director is now gearing up for his anticipated Diwali release, Bloody Beggar, headlined by Kavin. Directed by debutant Sivabalan Muthukumar, the film is produced under Nelson Dilipkumar's production house, Filament Pictures. The story follows the life of an arrogant beggar whose world turns upside down after a misadventure. The film marks Nelson's debut production venture.
