Director Akhil Sathyan, known for his work on the film 'Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum,' is all set to embark on his next project, which will feature Nivin Pauly in the lead role. Taking to his social media pages, the director shared the delightful news with fans, and expressed his excitement to collaborate with the actor for his second film.
In his announcement post, Akhil recalled about an incident when he received a call from Nivin while working as an assistant director on his father's (Sathyan Anthikkad) film Jomonte Suvisheshangal, starring Dulquer Salmaan. 'He straight away asked about the possibility of doing a film together,' Akhil wrote in his post. 'His faith in me made me write my debut film, and the entire initial draft was written exclussively for him. It did'nt happen due to some practical reasons and everything still unfolded well,' Akhil added.
Akhil expressed his joy in announcing that he has written the intro scene for his second film, featuring Nivin Pauly in the lead. He wrote, 'Today, I wrote his intro scene for my second film and the joy is beyond words. Universe plays the best puzzle game and everything falls in to place at the right time.'
While Akhil has announced his new project with the Malayalee From India actor, he is yet to disclose further details about the untitled film.

Akhil Sathyan is the son of prominent Malayalam director Sathyan Anthikkad and is a director himself. Following his father’s footsteps, he made his directorial debut with the Fahadh Faasil-starrer Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum in 2023. The film’s screenplay was also penned by the newbie director who is now set to begin his next project with Premam star Nivin Pauly.

Meanwhile, Nivin, who made an impressive comeback with his cameo appearance in Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Varshangalku Shesham, was last seen in Dijo Jose Antony's Malayalee From India. The actor, who has a number of exciting projects underway, will be seen in Dear Students alongside Nayanthara. He will also be working on debutant Aaryan Ramani Girijavallabhavan's film and is making his web series debut in Disney+ Hotstar's upcoming project titled Pharma. Additionally, his Tamil film Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai, directed by Ram, is yet to make its theatrical release.
