'It was a big deal to me,' Alia Bhatt reacts to Ranbir Kapoor striking her 'Gangubai pose' in front of paps

Alia Bhatt ’s transformation for her upcoming film Gangubai Kathiawadi has been the talk of the town. The actress who will be playing Sanjay Leela Bhansali ’s heroine for the first time is pretty excited for the movie and her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor seems to be her biggest cheerleader.

The actress who is on a promotional spree for Gangubai Kathiawadi was asked about Ranbir promoting her film on being spotted by the paparazzi recently as he struck her popular ‘Gangubai’ pose for the cameras. Ranbir was also asked by the paparazzi about how he liked the trailer to which he cheerfully responded.

Talking to Siddharth Kannan Alia reacted to Ranbir’s sweet gesture and said, “He (Ranbir Kapoor) loves it when I become Gangubai. He finds it very entertaining. And I think that was the best thing he did that day. It was a big deal to me. It was just really cute.”

Alia plays the most popular madam of Kamathipura who fought for the rights sex workers and had high and powerful connections. The film is set in the ‘60s and is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on 25 February. The actress’ performance and drastic transformation has been lauded on social media ever since the trailer dropped.

As for Ranbir and Alia, the couple has been dating for a few years now and they are speculated to be getting married soon. They remain to be seen on screen together but 2022 will hopefully resolve that too with their film Brahmastra scheduled to arrive in cinemas in September.
