Bollywood actor Nushrratt Bharuccha recently found herself amid the violence in Israel after the Hamas attack. She was in Israel to take part in the 39th Haifa International Film Festival where her film Akelli was selected for screening. She was stranded since Saturday but returned safely to India on Sunday. Amid all this, a video has now gone viral which features Nushrratt singing a Bollywood song with her Akelli co-star Tsahi Halevi at an event before the Israel-Palestine war.
In the clip, Nushrratt could be seen happily singing Kishore Kumar’s song Yaara Teri Yaari Ko along with Tsahi, while the audience cheered for them. The event was reportedly before hostilities intensified in Israel. Following the attack, a member of the actor's team confirmed that she was taking refuge in a basement, however, the communication was then lost.
It was with the help of the Embassy that the actor was safely brought back to India. “With the help of the Embassy, she is being safely brought back home. She is safe and on her way to India: Sanchita Trivedi, member of Nushrratt Bharuccha’s team," ANI quoted the team as saying. She landed in Mumbai on Sunday around 2 pm looking quite distressed. She was surrounded by the media upon her arrival and she refused to speak. The controversial film critic and actor Kamaal R Khan aka KRK, however, took a sharp dig at the actress and called her ‘Besharam’.
Nushrratt was last seen in Akelli in which she shared screen with Israeli actor Tsahi Halevi of Fauda fame. Co-incidenetly, the film was about the resilience of an ordinary girl trapped in a combat zone in the Middle East and her fight for life.Up next, the actress will be seen in Chhorii 2, directed by Vishal Furia. Reportedly, Soha Ali Khan will be joining Nishrratt in the upcoming sequel.
