Is Triptii Dimri all set to play the lead in the Parveen Babi biopic? Here’s what we know

Bollywood actress Triptii Dimri is definitely the flavour of the season. And why not! She, suddenly, seems to be the lady with a golden touch! After having starred in the superhit film Animal, she went onto do a couple of other films, which also were successful at the box office. The latest one amongst them was the Karan Johar produced Bad Newz, which also starred the suave Vicky Kaushal and the Punjabi superstar Ammy Virk, who made his Bollywood debut with this film.

It now seems that Triptii Dimri is now all set to play the leading role in the biopic that is being made on the legendary actress Parveen Babi. Even though nothing has been finalised (as per the said report), the actress has been approached to play the titular role and has been reportedly in the running for the same. The said report also said that, besides Triptii, there have been other ladies as well, who have been approached for the said role.

As for Triptii, she made her full-fledged Bollywood debut with Laila Majnu. Speaking about the film, in an earlier interview (with E Times), the actress said that, after the film’s release, she was buying vegetables and had dreamt of being unrecognised after the movie’s huge success soon after. She also admitted that very few people had gone to see the film and because of which, she was totally heartbroken. That’s when she began working on her craft and attended many workshops. The rest, as they say… is history… we mean… her story!

And soon after the smashing success of the Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol starrer Animal, there was also big news about the actress that she had purchased a ground-plus-two-storey bungalow off Carter Road in Bandra west area of Mumbai. The cost of the property had been reported to be a whopping Rs. 14 crore, as per a report in IndexTap.com.
