Ira Khan-Nupur Shikhare Wedding: Here's all we know about Aamir Khan's daughter's big day

Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan will soon be tying the knot with her longtime boyfriend and trainer Nupur Shikhare. Ahead of their wedding at the Taj Lands End Hotel in Bandra on January 3, the couple was seen spending quality time together. Ira shared a cute picture in which Nupur leaned his head on her shoulder. It is reported that the soon-to-be-married couple will host a grand reception after their intimate wedding which will be attended by the who's who of Bollywood.

However, the exact date of the reception is not yet revealed, it is likely to take place after January 10 as per reports from India Today. Talking about the wedding, the couple will have a Maharashtrian wedding to pay tribute to the latter’s heritage. It is being said that Ira has purchased most of her jewellery from a well-known store in Matunga. For the food menu, the couple have finalised a diverse range of dishes for their grand wedding celebration.

Meanwhile, the couple had their Maharashtrian Kelvan, a pre-wedding celebration in presence of their family and close friends. The function was attended by Aamir’s ex-wife Kiran Rao and their son Azad Rao. Ira’s friend-actress Mithila Palkar posted the inside pictures of the celebration. While Ira opted for a maroon saree paired with a sequinned blouse, Nupur wore a kurta pyjama and sported a turban.

Ira and Nupur got engaged in November 2022. The couple shared the adorable proposal video wherein Nupur went down on one knee at a sports event. "Popeye: She said yes (smiling face with hearts and red heart emojis). Ira: Hehe (smiling face, face with hand over mouth emojis) I said yes,” the video was captioned. During their ring ceremony, the two shared a kiss and celebrated with a little dance on stage. The ceremony was attended by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, Reena Dutta, Junaid Khan, Imraan Khan and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
