The trailer for the much-awaited upcoming movie Indian 2 is set to be launched on Tuesday in Mumbai. While it will become available for everyone to watch at 7 PM, a select few had the opportunity to watch the trailer in a special preview.
The first reactions to the Indian 2 trailer are growing and have ramped up our expectations. Those who watched the trailer have praised Kamal Haasan and director Shankar for delivering stylish and grand commercial entertainment on pressing social issues.
"Watched the #indian2 trailer. It is mass, typical @shankarshanmugh style vigilante thriller. @ikamalhaasan looks super in different get-ups and #siddharth gets the maximum time in the trailer. @anirudhofficial BGM is wow as usual. On the whole, a rocking trailer. Glimpse of @iam_SJSuryah promises," tweeted Sridevi Sreedhar.
"Saw the #Indian2 trailer that looks super grand and massy with Ulaganayagan @ikamalhaasan as the Indian Thatha, who performs all sorts of modern stunts with his trademark Varma Kalai. Indian is back, and so is the grandeur king @shankarshanmugh," said film journalist Rajasekar.
Some even opined that actor Siddharth might get more screen time than Kamal Haasan in Indian 2. "#Indian2 Trailer! More than Kamal Haasan, it's going to be a Siddharth show in terms of screen space," said industry tracker Christopher Kanagaraj.
Indian 2 is one of the most awaited movies of 2024. The film has been in production for about four years now and has overcome numerous obstacles. Speaking at an event in Chennai on Tuesday, Kamal thanked the producers at Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies for standing by the film through thick and thin.
Indian 2 is a sequel to the 1996 blockbuster Indian. Shankar, who helmed the original, has also written and directed the sequel.
