Indian 2: Second single to be out on THIS date, makers share romantic poster of Siddharth and Rakul Preet Singh

After receiving massive responses for the first single Paaraa, the makers of Kamal Haasan-starrer Indian 2 are gearing up to release the second single. The film's makers took to their social media handles to share the latest update and announced that the second single will be dropped on May 29, 2024. Unlike the first single, which was a powerful period song, the second song hints at a romantic track, which will feature Siddharth and Rakul Preet Singh. The makers unveiled the poster of the song, showcasing the two stars dining.  

Anirudh wins hearts with first single from Indian 2

Despite facing harsh criticism over his composition in the first glimpse of Indian 2, the young composer was able to redeem himself with the first single Paara. For the unversed, when the film's intro was released last year, fans expressed their dissatisfaction with the movie’s music. Fans of AR Rahman slammed the Jawan composer for not offering the “same old ARR charm”, who had been replaced by Anirudh in the sequel.

But when the first single was released, fans lauded Anirudh for delivering a powerful period song that resonated with the core theme of the film. It looks like netizens have changed their minds about Anirudh's composition. 

Indian 2

S Shankar has directed Indian 2, which is scheduled to hit the big screens on July 12. The film boasts an ensemble cast of Siddharth, SJ Suryah, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Kalidas Jayaram, Gulshan Grover, Nedumudi Venu, Vivek, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Guru Somasundaram, Delhi Ganesh, Jayaprakash, Manobala, Vennela Kishore and Deepa Shankar, among others. From the first single’s visual shots, it is speculated that the movie might provide a backstory of Senapathy, during his battle against the British Raj.

The sequel to the 1996 Indian, the latest film is bankrolled by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies. The movie’s camera work is handled by Ravi Varman and Rathnavelu and the editing work by A Sreekar Prasad.
