'I never danced in..': Did Kangana Ranaut take an indirect dig at Bollywood stars dancing at Ambani pre-wedding bash?

It is not a hidden fact several Bollywood A-listers set the dance floor on fire in the pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant which took place in Jamnagar between March 1 and 3. From the three Khans to Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kareena Kapoor Khan, everyone danced their hearts out on the occasion. However, it seems like actress Kangana Ranaut might have now taken an indirect dig at these celebs for dancing at the pre-wedding bash.

Kangana took to her Instagram stories to share a screenshot of a news article wherein the legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar had stated that she would never sing at a wedding. The headline of the news article read, “Even if you give me five million dollars I won’t come: When Lata Mangeshkar refused to sing at wedding.” The Tanu Weds Manu Returns actress then stated how despite several setbacks in her career and having many hit songs, she never agreed to perform at weddings since her dignity did not allow it. The Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi actress stated, “I have been through worse financial setbacks, but Lata ji and I are only two people who have massive hit songs (fashion ka jalwa, ghani baawli ho gayi, London thumkda, Sadi galli, Vijay bhawa etc.) to our credit. But no matter how many temptations I got I never danced in the weddings, many super hit item songs were also offered to me, soon I avoided award shows also. It takes strong character and dignity to say no to fame and money, in the world of short cuts young generation needs to understand only wealth one can acquire is the wealth of integrity (thumbs up emoji)."

Well, we wonder whether this was a sharp jibe at the Bollywood celebs’ rendezvous at Jamnagar. On the work front, Kangana is gearing up for her directorial film Emergency. She will be playing the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the same.
