'I have also won my dignity' : Sooraj Pancholi releases an official statement expressing gratitude after being acquitted in the Jiah Khan case

A special CBI court in Mumbai announced the final verdict in the late actress Jiah Khan’s suicide case. Sooraj Pancholi who was her boyfriend at the time of her death was the main accused in the case. The court announced him not guilty of the charges and he has been acquitted of the abetment charges in the case. Now, after the verdict, Sooraj released an official statement expressing his state of mind.

A paparazzi page shared the official statement of the Hero actor wherein he spoke about the trauma that he and his family went through during these 10 years. Sooraj Pancholi said that by being announced as not guilty, he has also got his confidence and dignity back. The statement said, “The Verdict has taken 10 long painful years and sleepless nights, But today I have not only won this case against me but I have also won my dignity and confidence back, it took a lot of courage to face the world with such heinous allegations, I hope and pray to God that nobody goes through what I have gone through at such a young age, I don’t know who will give me these 10 years of my life back to me, but I am glad that this has finally come to an end not only for me but especially for my family. There is nothing bigger than peace in this world.”

According to a news report in India Today, Sooraj Pancholi also distributed sweets to the present paparazzi who were stationed outside his home. The actor reportedly also shook hands with the shutterbugs who were congratulating him on winning the case. However, he refrained from speaking about the case. Earlier, Sooraj had also shared an Instagram story wherein he had written, “The truth always wins. God is great.”
